Palm Pre Base

Palm Pre is not released yet and hackers working on porting Android for OMAP3 have some good news, they made some real progress. The Android to OMAP3 port is in the works since late 2008 and they believe that once it is released they can make the device dual boot the Palm Web OS and Android.

Gaining access to the bootloader and kernel console has been the hardest part, but they have been able to tell the device where to look for boot sector to accomplish dualbooting between the OS’s. Since Palm Pre has 8GB of flash storage and no expansion slots they will need to prepartition the existing space on the Palm.
